In 2021, our team at Manchester University are still searching for the causes of stillbirth and expanding their understanding of why it happens and what we can do about it.

With more research and awareness of the problem, numbers of stillbirths in the UK have been falling over the last few years. But in 2019 there were still over 2500 families who suffered the tragic loss of their baby in England and Wales alone. This is far too many!
